1. 皮纹反射大脑的功能;
2. 人们的成功之路来自于2个因素: 意愿和能力;
“意愿”, 即指的是动机(情感)和构思力(思考);

Allow Students To Learn At Their Own Pace
It seems normal for teachers to teach in a classroom setting with one standard for all pupils. It is normal BUT is it RIGHT thing to do?
Every student has very different lever of understanding of a subject and also students need time to absord after a subject is being taught. Therefore, allowing students to learn at thier own pace is indeed a way to effective learning.
I encounter a case in KK that a student, Jason, has reading difficulty but his mother is not awared of his learning deficit, and all along she thinks that Jason is lazy and having no interest in study. However, after I show her that Jason is unable to read some very simple characters, then she accepts the fact.
Then I go on encouraging Jason to do 2 sets of paper with 15 questions and with my help of reading out the questions and suprisingly to his mother that Jason scores 80%. For Jason, he is also overwhelmed of how well he performs.
Therefore, allowing students to learn at their own pace is the way to effective learning.

Finding Your Passion Changes Everything
"Finding Your Passion Changes Everything." Sir Ken Robinson.
This quotation by Sir Ken Robinson says it all that regardless who we are, what is our age, whichever background we're from, in order for us to prosper in life what we need is finding our passion, our life will start to change for better. Most importantly, we will feel good and not miserable.
In most cases, it seems normal for us to put more focus on our weakness, seemingly if we don't deal with our weakness, it will hindrance our overall performance, therefore improve on the areas of weaknesses make sense.
BUT the question is why should we need to be an all rounder? i.e. be good in everything!
As according to Sir Ken Robinson, in his book The Element, he stresses that emphasizing on our strenghts and passionately doing what we are good at, we tend to face obstacles with positive thinking and we will handle difficulties with determination and enthusiasm.
There is a management guru, Michael Portel, in his book Competitive Advantage, he mentions that in order to withstand your position in the ever changing business environment, what we need to do is to compete with our strenths and comperative advantages.
Some obvious examples would be in world of sports, all the sportmen are focusing into one or two areas of their game, i.e. Soccer players only compete in football in certain positions, basketball players only compete in basketball with certain roles, motor cyclists only compete in motorcycling.
Of course, everyone can play any sorts of sport, BUT the question is in whether you want to be an amatuer or a master.
BE AWARE: MASTER PLAYER EARN MANY TIMES MORE THAN AN ORDINALLY PLAYER. SPECIALLIST EARN MANY TIMES MORE THAN A ORDINALLY PRACTICIAN.
If you are a Master Player or a Specialist, you're playing with Blue Ocean Strategy; however, if you are an amatuer or a generalist, you're playing in a fierceful competition environment and living in red ocean whereby you need to let go your profit for survival.

Happy Joseph Learn Better.

In general, parents make mistakes in forcing their children to do what they are weak at and stopping their children in doing what they are good at. It seems natural in Asian culture. BUT IT IS WRONG!!!
Let's take my son, JOSEPH, as an example. He is weak in BM, my wife and I will usually force him to go for BM tuition and making sure that he will spend double the time and effort in studying BM.
After one full year of living in miserable life, do you think JOSEPH would do better in BM?
The answer is NO.
WHY?
It is because we are ignoring JOSEPH's emotional feeling and his capabilities.
As according to Haward Gadner, a Harvard School psycologist, he mentioned in his book "The Frame of Mind" that every kids are different Emotionally & Intelligently.
It is indeed common sense that when we do something that we are really good at, we will feel joyful and happy, in turn we become productive. BUT ironically that my wife and I are forcing JOSEPH to do what he is weak at, definitely he will not perform.
Finally, I realize that my wife and I have to alter our mindset to allow JOSEPH to focus on the subjects that he is strong with, i.e. BC, BI and Math and we encourage him to stretch to the limit to get himself listing in the SCORE A's Nationwide Honor List and he did actually get his name listed for several times.
I can see his learning attitude changed dramatically and his passion in doing the SCORE A e-learning program and even fight against his sister for his turn to do SCORE A.
Dear Readers, you might ask: How about his BM?
My answer to you is: "LET IT BE."
I can assure you that when JOSEPH's momentum in learning starts to move, he will automatically uplift his confident in boosting up his standard in BM.
